This remuneration can increase through sales commissions. These represent a portion of the agency’s fees, generally between 4% and 11% of the total sale price. An independent estate agent, on the other hand, receives 100% of the commission.
The salary of a junior estate agent also varies depending on their location and the size of the agency they work for. Estate agents can earn up to 30% more in the Île-de-France region than in the provinces. This is due to property prices in the Paris region, which result in higher commissions.
