What does a Marketing Manager do?

The job of a marketing manager is to increase a company’s turnover by implementing appropriate marketing and communication strategies.

But while we tend to think that marketing managers are only responsible for promotional campaigns, their role encompasses a much deeper aspect:

  • Conducting marketing research to understand consumer purchasing behaviour;
  • Defining the company’s offering to meet demand, i.e. choosing the right format, message, launch period, etc.

At the start of their career, marketing managers earn between €35,000 and €40,000 gross per year. Their monthly salary is between €2,900 and €3,300 gross, or €2,150 and €2,400 net per month.
On top of this, there is usually additional remuneration in the form of bonuses for achieving targets, performance bonuses and a 13th month’s salary. This amounts to an average of €4,000 per year.
